11/4/2025 8:23:00 AM

PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday evening, hosting the University of Dallas Crusaders for a non-conference matchup inside the William J. Nicks Building, affectionately known as the Baby Dome. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m.

The contest marks one of the early home games for the Panthers as they continue to build rhythm and chemistry in the young season under head coach Byron Smith. After opening the year with a strong showing, the Panthers will look to refine their execution on both ends of the floor while using this contest as a tune-up before diving deeper into non-conference play.

Prairie View A&M enters the matchup with an emphasis on pushing the tempo and creating scoring opportunities through its fast-paced offense and defensive pressure. Led by a mix of veteran returners and talented newcomers, the Panthers aim to establish dominance early and maintain their trademark intensity throughout the contest.

The visiting Crusaders of the University of Dallas will provide a competitive test, bringing in a disciplined and well-coached squad that looks to challenge the Panthers on both sides of the ball. The Crusaders are known for their methodical offensive sets and defensive focus, making this an ideal early-season opportunity for Prairie View A&M to sharpen its execution.

The Baby Dome crowd is expected to bring energy and excitement as the Panthers take the floor for another home appearance. With the support of the Prairie View faithful behind them, the Panthers will look to capitalize on their home-court advantage and continue setting the tone for the 2025-26 campaign.
