VERO BEACH, Fla. -- Prairie View A&M Panthers fall 14-0 to Jackson State on the second day of the Andre Dawson Classic.
Junior Beau Beaty (0-1) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (2-5) and took the loss. Senior Camden Farmer was a bright spot for the Panthers, coming out of the bullpen and throwing one scoreless inning, allowing one hit, with one walk and two strikeouts.
Offensively, the Panthers were paced by freshman C. Lockette, who went 1-for-1 on the day with a triple.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the seventh, when Lockette made it 90 feet away from scoring with two outs.
