ARLINGTON, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Panthers put together a valiant performance on Friday afternoon, but ultimately came up short, losing to the East Texas A&M Lions by the score of 3-1.
Junior Brielle Moreno (3-3) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (6-8) and took the loss. Senior Madalyne Martinez was a bright spot for the Panthers, coming out of the bullpen and throwing one scoreless inning, allowing no hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers were trailing 3-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. Sophomore Isabela Rodriguez came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M and get them on the board. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
