The Prairie View A&M Panthers women's golf team traveled to Kohler, Wisconsin, to compete in the prestigious PGA Works Collegiate Championships. Over the course of event, the team demonstrated strong performances against a competitive field, ultimately securing a 4th place finish overall.
Starting off the championships, the Panthers posted a round score of 309. Despite challenging conditions, they managed to stay consistent into the second round, where they scored 322. However, the third round proved more difficult, with the team recording a score of 345, concluding the tournament with a total of 976 strokes, which placed them 112 strokes over par.
Individually,
Briann Briggs and
Micaiah Joubert stood out with noteworthy performances. Briggs tied for 4th overall, shooting rounds of 76, 73, and 83 for a total of 232 strokes, finishing the championship +16 over par. Joubert, not far behind, tied for 8th place; she recorded scores of 73, 79, and 84 across her three rounds, totaling 236 strokes and concluding the event +20 over par.
