In a strong showing at the SMU Invitational on May 3, 2025, Prairie View A&M's women's track and field team demonstrated impressive performances across multiple events. This regular season finale was a significant platform for the Panthers as they prepare for the upcoming SWAC Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Among the standout performers was
Maya Clark, who excelled in the 1500m race by clocking in at 4:59.97. The 400m event saw
Treasure Bethea finishing 9th in a time of 56.79, while
Nikiyah Williams and
Zara Richardson also made personal best times of 57.13 and 57.48, respectively. Richardson continued her success by securing 3rd place in the 800m with a time of 2:14.64, and
Miracle Price set a personal record in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 1:03.68.
The field events brought further success for the Panthers, with
Michaela Booker taking 2nd place in both shot put with a throw of 13.12m and discus at 41.00m, the latter setting a new personal record for her.
Krislyn Green also performed well in the shot put, earning 3rd place with a throw of 13.04m. In the triple jump,
Savoria Anderson clinched 1st place with a jump of 12.47m, and
De'Niya Gravely secured 4th place at 11.55m.
Raina Thomas achieved a personal record in the high jump and finished in 5th place with a height of 1.63m.
