HOUSTON, Texas --Sophomore A. Donatto went 2 for 3 for the Prairie View A&M Panthers in a 12-1 loss to the Rice Owls on Wednesday evening.
Freshman M. Maxie (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (14-33, ). Sophomore D. Thompson was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going three shutout innings while allowing one hit, walking one and striking out three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers were trailing 12-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. Senior M. Jonas came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M and get them on the board. The ballgame ended with that seventh inning rally falling short.
