Women's XC Finish 2nd at Clifton Gilliard XC Invite

The women's cross country team showcased a strong performance at the Clifton Gilliard XC Invite held on September 25, 2025, at the Gov Bill and Vara Daniel Ranch and Farm on the university's campus in Prairie View, Texas. Competing in their home meet against several regional schools in the women's cross country event, the Panthers finished second overall with a commendable total of 55 points.

Outstanding individual performances were noted during the meet, with several Panthers athletes securing positions in the top 20. Lea Murphy led the team, finishing 8th with a notable time of 20:01.79. Close behind, Christina Fitzpatrick registered a time of 20:52.17. Nina Story excelled by finishing 10th, clocking in at 21:00.50, while Aida Kane-Diallo and Maya Clark also made significant contributions, finishing 13th and 15th with times of 21:30.84 and 21:40.52, respectively.

The Clifton Gilliard XC Invite saw competition from various colleges including Sam Houston, who took the first place, St. Thomas (Texas), North American, Huston-Tillotson, and Victoria College.
