All Prairie View A&M starters reach base in 7-4 loss to Alabama A&M

VERO BEACH, Fla. --Prairie View A&M got contributions from every part of their lineup, as all nine starters reached base safely, but the Panthers fell to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 7-4 Friday.

Sophomore Landyn Grant (1-1) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (2-4) and took the loss. Senior Camden Farmer was a bright spot for the Panthers, coming out of the bullpen and throwing one shutout inning, allowing no hits, with no walks and one strikeout.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Panthers were trailing 5-0 in the fourth inning when they first put runs on the board.

The Panthers kept the deficit at 5-3 before closing the gap further in the fifth. Sophomore Landon Williams came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M, which tightened the Bulldogs lead to 5-4. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as Alabama A&M added two runs to their tally on the way to a 7-4 final.
