In an impressive display of athletic capability, the Prairie View A&M Panthers women's track and field team took the spotlight at the 91st PV Relays on March 21, 2025. The event, hosted at the PVAMU Track & Field Stadium in Prairie View, Texas, marked a significant day for the team and especially for the senior athletes who were honored during the meet.
The Panthers showed their strength across a variety of events, claiming multiple first-place finishes that underscored their dominance. Notably, the 4x100m relay team consisting of
De'Niya Gravely,
Janiya Wilkins,
Rayna Dixon, and
Jasir Miller won first place. In the middle-distance runs,
Maya Clark and
Lea Murphy captured first in the 1500m and 800m, respectively. In the 100m hurldles, LaShavia Barclay took the win in 14.36.
Savoria Anderson continued the winning streak with her performance in the 400m hurdles.
Field events also saw outstanding performances from the Panthers.
Keonna Otis led the discus with a first-place finish while also snagging fourth in the javelin.
Michaela Booker and
Kaylan Woodrow took podium positions in the javelin and discus respectively.
Madison Muckelroy vaulted to a first-place finish in the pole vault, and
Krislyn Green threw a winning 13.13m in the shot put. The jumping events were no different, with
Sanai Kintchen taking first in the long jump and Davila Morgan leading in the high jump.
Beyond individual accolades, the day was sentimental as the seniors were recognized for their contributions to the team. Among those honored were

Looking ahead, the next challenge for the Prairie View A&M Panthers women's track and field team will be the Texas Relays hosted by the University of Texas and the Texas State Relays hosted by Texas State University. With their recent performances, the Panthers are poised for continued success in the 2025 season.
