Men's Track and Field Shines at 91st PV Relays

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - Prairie View A&M men's Track and Field team showcased their prowess at the 91st Prairie View Relays hosted by PVAMU on March 21, 2025, at the Prairie View Track & Field Stadium, collecting numerous top finishes across both running and field events.

The Panthers' athletes delivered outstanding performances in running events, with the highlight being the 4x100 relay team of Jalen Smith, Julian Dawkins, Devin Miller, and Eric Brooks blazing to first place with a time of 40.22 seconds. In the 1500m, Thierry Garcon clinched first place, while in the sprints, Kellen Moran sprinted to victory in the 400m clocking 49.13 seconds, closely followed by teammate Sebastian Cruz in third. Julian Dawkins also made a significant mark by securing second in the 100m at 10.65 seconds, followed Eric Brooks and Devin Miller in 4th in 5th, respectively. Dawkins, Christion Derrick, Bryce McFadden, and Devin Miller dominated the top four spots in the 200m. The 4x400m relay team of A'Isayah Brown, Kellen Moran, Caleb Adkinson-Harrison, and Bryce McFadden also excelled, finishing first in 3:14.50.

In field events, the Panthers continued their strong form. Damion Phillips achieved remarkable feats, placing second in shot put and third in javelin, while also capturing first alongside Kaiden Berry in the discus. Darryl Muckelroy soared to a first-place finish in the pole vault at 4.70 meters. Devin Miller, not to be outdone, excelled in the high jump securing first position, and Jaden Harris won the triple jump with a leap of 14.65 meters.

The event also served as a platform to honor senior athletes, including standout performers Christion Derrick, Kaiden Berry, Camdyn Parsee, Jalen Smith, Isaiah Barnes, and Dorian Holland. This memorable meet not only highlighted individual achievements but also showcased the strong team spirit and depth of talent within the Panthers squad.

Looking ahead, the team is set to compete next at the University of Texas' Texas Relays and the Texas State Relays hosted by Texas State University on March 28, 2025, where they aim to continue their successful run.
