The Prairie View A&M Panthers bowling team, claimed victory in the SWAC Bowling Championships held on March 23, 2025, at ITRC Arlington, Texas. Facing off against the Southern University Jaguars, the Panthers overcame a challenging start to secure a 4-2 win in a competitive baker best-of-7 match.

Entering the championships seeded 5th, the Panthers demonstrated remarkable resilience and skill. Despite losing the first game to the Jaguars, Prairie View bounced back to win the second, third, and fourth games. Southern University managed to claim the fifth game, setting the stage for a dramatic final showdown in which Prairie View clinched the victory.

The triumph was highlighted by significant individual accolades. Amani Moore and Jayda Gordon were named to the SWAC All-Tournament Team, enhancing their reputations as key players. Furthermore, Jalyne Myers received the distinguished title of SWAC MVP, underscoring her pivotal contributions throughout the tournament. Her outstanding performances played a crucial role in leading the Panthers to their championship victory, marking a proud moment for Prairie View A&M in this year's conference.

Notably, the seventh conference title for the bowling team is the first championship title for head coach Tiffany Clark, who is also serving her first year as a head coach. Reflecting on the moment and going into the championship's, Clark's mentioned that "Emotions were everywhere. Seeing how the girls played was a different group today. Before the championships, I preached to them that if they play together, work together, and trust each other, they can win. They did just that and won. The girls rallied together, had patience, knocked down the pins and it all came in our favor."

The team, consisting of Moore, Gordon, Myers, Caroline Lewis, Skylar Alexander, Miranda Fuentes, and Chandler Townsend, will now wait for their potential bid to compete in the NCAA Regional Championships. The NCAA will announce participants on Wednesday, March 26 at 3:00pm.
