SAN ANTONIO, TX --Sophomore Landon Williams went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI for the Prairie View A&M Panthers in an 18-2 loss to the Incarnate Word Cardinals on Tuesday.
Sophomore Marcus McMillan (0-2) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (8-23) and took the loss.
At the plate, the Panthers were paced by Williams, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a home run, a walk and two RBI. Freshman Sonnier Moses put together a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-2 with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with two runs in the top of the first inning. Prairie View A&M plated two runs when Williams left the yard with Moses aboard. The Panthers were unable to hold the lead, as Incarnate Word scored 18 times over the remaining six innings to grab the 18-2 win.
