Prairie View A&M's women's outdoor track and field team wrapped up a strong 2025 season with championship determination, standout individual efforts, and a fourth-place finish at the SWAC Outdoor Championships. From dominating performances at the PV Relays to key contributions at the Texas Relays and the conference finals, the Panthers combined veteran leadership with emerging talent in a season marked by personal bests and consistent podium finishes.
PV Relays (March 21, 2025)
At the 91st Prairie View Relays, the Panthers opened their outdoor season with commanding performances across multiple events. The 4x100-meter relay team of De'Niya Gravely, Janiya Wilkins, Rayna Dixon, and Jasir Miller took first place, setting the tone for a dominant showing. Lashavia Barclay led the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.36, while Savoria Anderson topped the 400-meter hurdles.
Maya Clark and Lea Murphy earned wins in the 1500 meters and 800 meters, respectively, showcasing the team's strength in middle distance.
In field events, Keonna Otis claimed gold in the discus, with teammates Michaela Booker and Kaylan Woodrow also placing in the javelin. Madison Muckelroy won the pole vault, Krislyn Green led the shot put with a mark of 13.13 meters, Sanai Kintchen took the long jump, and Davila Morgan secured a win in the high jump.
The meet also featured senior recognition, honoring athletes including Savoria Anderson, Titi Akinwunmi, Zara Richardson, Kamara Bradley, Morgan Davila, Jordyn Hubbert, Tyshi Reynolds, Jasir Miller, and Justyce Thomas.
Texas Relays (March 27–29, 2025)
During the second day of the Texas Relays, the Panthers' women's 4x400-meter relay team, composed of Treasure Bethea, Zara Richardson, Nikiyah Williams, and Jasir Miller, delivered a standout performance by placing second in their heat. Although they narrowly missed qualifying for the finals, the race marked one of the most competitive and spirited efforts of the meet for the women's team.
On the third day, Savoria Anderson competed in section A of the triple jump, where she cleared a distance of 12.30 meters. Her mark stood out in a field packed with elite collegiate athletes and further underscored her consistency in one of the team's strongest events.
SWAC Outdoor Championships (May 2025)
At the SWAC Outdoor Championships in Baton Rouge, Prairie View A&M placed fourth overall with 100.5 points, highlighted by strong individual and relay performances.
Savoria Anderson won the triple jump with a mark of 12.67 meters, claiming her fourth SWAC title in the event. Keonna Otis earned Field Event MVP honors after winning the discus (47.74m) and finishing second in the shot put (14.10m).
Lashavia Barclay placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:01.14. Zara Richardson also recorded a personal best in the 800 meters (2:10.42), placing fifth. The 4x400-meter relay team of Bethea, Richardson, Williams, and Miller finished fifth in a season-best 3:45.73.
Maya Clark and Lea Murphy added points in the steeplechase, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively. Christina Fitzpatrick and Kamara Bradley recorded personal bests in the 10,000 meters, placing fifth and eighth.
In the heptathlon, Sanai Kintchen finished second with 4576 points. In the pole vault, Madison Muckelroy earned silver with a mark of 3.33 meters, and her teammates Jordyn Hubbert, Jaliyah Gray, and Morgan Davila added depth in the scoring. Muckelroy and Davila also contributed in the high jump, and Keonna Otis, Michaela Booker, and Krislyn Green continued their success in the shot put.
SWAC Runner of the Week
Nikiyah Williams earned the SWAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Newcomer of the Week honor on the week of April 17 after setting a personal record of 57.58 seconds in the 400 meters at the Little Rock Invitational
