Prairie View A&M returns to competition Friday and Saturday at the 44 Farms Invitational, a two-day meet at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the Texas A&M campus. The meet begins Friday, April 10, in College Station and continues into Saturday
The Panthers will have several key names in focus, starting with Detrevyon Goudeau and Bryce McFadden, who are set to open their seasons in the 400 meters. That event is one of the headline races on Saturday, when Prairie View A&M also is scheduled to compete in the 4x100 relay, 110-meter hurdles, 100 meters, invitational 800, 3000-meter steeplechase and 4x400 relay, along with field events including pole vault, shot put and high jump. Friday's slate includes the 200 meters, 400-meter hurdles, 800, 1500, 5000, discus and long jump, giving the Panthers opportunities to score across both the track and field portions of the meet.
Sebastian Cruz is another Panther to watch closely. He is entered in the invitational 800 meters and is also expected to be part of the men's 4x400 relay, giving Prairie View A&M a presence in both an individual middle-distance race and one of the meet's marquee relay events. In the hurdles, Ronzell Woods and Anthony Mangram are slated for the 400-meter hurdles, an event that can shape the rhythm of Friday's competition and test depth as the weekend unfolds.
In the field, Darryl Muckelroy in the pole vault and Devin Miller in the high jump give the Panthers experienced points of interest on Saturday. Their events add another layer to Prairie View A&M's weekend, particularly in a meet format that spreads key competitions over two days and rewards versatility and depth. With sprinters opening seasons, middle-distance runners stepping into featured races and field athletes taking on specialized events, the 44 Farms Invitational offers Prairie View A&M an early-April benchmark against quality competition in College Station.
The meet can be followed online through live results and live streaming.
