Burnley was one of the first freshmen recruited for the inaugural soccer team and was a four-year starter (2002-06) while also playing one year of volleyball (2002) for the Lady Panthers. As a sophomore, she scored 19 goals to rank fourth in the nation in goals per game as PVAMU went 7-7-1 in the first varsity season of 2003. In 2004, she scored 15 goals (ranking second in the nation in goals per game) in leading the Lady Panthers to a 9-4-1 record. The nine victories ranked as a school record until 2014.
 
Burnley is the PVAMU career leader in goals scored (36) and points (77), and she ranks first and second in single-season goals in PVAMU history.
 
Burnley was a three-year letter winner who made the Honor Roll and the Dean’s List in 2004, and earned All-SWAC honors in 2005.
 
Burnley earned Bachelor’s degrees in marketing and management with a minor in music in 2006, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2014, all from Prairie View A&M.
 
She is currently a special education teacher and Head Soccer Coach at Alief Taylor High School.
