Track & Field Set to Compete at Jarvis Scott Invitational

LUBBOCK, TX — Prairie View A&M's track and field teams are gearing up for a crucial performance at the Jarvis Scott Invitational, hosted at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas. The two-day meet, scheduled for February 14th and 15th, marks their final regular season event before the SWAC Championships next weekend.

Erik Dixon and Chris Clay, coaches for the women's and men's teams respectively, have prepared their athletes for a competitive outing. The women's team will showcase talents like Morgan Davila in high jump, Sanai Kintchen in the 60m hurdles, Savoria Anderson in the triple jump, Zara Richardson in the 800m, and Keonna Otis in the shot put. The men's squad features strong competitors including Eric Brooks in both the 60m and 200m, Isaiah Barnes and Bryce McFadden also in the 200m, with McFadden additionally taking on the 400m. Thierry Garcon is set to contend in the mile, 3000m, and 5000m, while Arrion Knight focuses on the 60m hurdles and Devin Miller on high jump.

This final tune-up before the SWAC Championships is not just about individual performances; it's a total team effort to finetune their tactics and form. As the Panthers prepare to face this competitive field, the event promises to highlight the dedication and hard work of both the athletes and coaching staff in what is sure to be a thrilling precursor to the championships.
