Prairie View A&M men's track and field turned in a solid day of performances Friday at the 44 Farms Invitational in College Station, led by a runner-up finish from De'Trevyon Goudeau in his season-opening 400 meters and several other notable marks across the track and field lineup.

Goudeau delivered one of the Panthers' top efforts of the meet, placing second in the 400 in 46.04 seconds. The time moved him to No. 15 on the NCAA West list as of April 11, giving Prairie View A&M an early-season boost in one of its key sprint events. Bryce McFadden added more depth in the same race with a 47.53, while Julian Dawkins and Joshua Gayden finished nearly side by side in the 200, posting times of 21.84 and 21.85, respectively.

In the middle-distance events, Sebastian Cruz recorded a 1:55.02 in the 800-meter invitational, another steady result for the Panthers against a competitive field. In the field events, Devin Miller cleared 1.96 meters in the high jump to place seventh, giving Prairie View A&M points and another top-eight finish on the day.

The team is scheduled to compete next at the Michael Johnson Invitational at Baylor University on April 24-25.
