Fueled by school-record performances, standout field event dominance, and a relentless team spirit, the Prairie View A&M University women's indoor track and field team delivered one of its most memorable campaigns in recent history during the 2025 season. Highlighted by a runner-up finish at the SWAC Indoor Championships and head-turning individual achievements, the Lady Panthers showcased a balanced roster of emerging talent and seasoned leadership that signaled their arrival as a force on the national HBCU track stage.
SWAC Indoor Championships (February 22–23, 2025)
At the SWAC Indoor Championships held in Birmingham, Alabama, the Panthers secured second place with 101 points. Savoria Anderson earned the title of Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning the triple jump with a leap of 12.60 meters. Zara Richardson set a new school indoor record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.53, finishing third. Additional podium finishes included Morgan Davila winning the high jump at 1.67 meters, and Lea Murphy placing third in the 5000 meters with a time of 19:08.98. The distance medley relay team of Richardson, Treasure Bethea, Miracle Price, and Murphy set a new school record of 12:20.77, earning third place.
